This handbook has been a labor of love for our team, and we have been working on it since the beginning of the project, collecting and curating a series of useful information on the principles of self-directed agile education and tools educators can use in their practice.

The handbook is divided into five sections, each addressing a different aspect of self-directed and agile learning:

  • The second section delves into agile learning, looking at its principles and how it can be applied in education.
  • The third section offers practical guidance on how to implement self-directed and agile learning in educational settings, with a focus on agile learning centers.
  • The fourth section of the handbook focuses on the contributions of scientific research in the field of self-directed and agile learning. This section provides an overview of the latest findings and insights, offering a solid foundation for the practical implementation of self-directed and agile learning methods.
  • Finally, the fifth section of the handbook explores the importance of cultures of collaboration . This section highlights the role of community and teamwork in creating supportive learning environments.

The handbook will be published in six languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Romanian. This will allow us to reach a wider audience and provide access to the latest information and guidance on self-directed and agile learning methods in education.
